  5. The PLUS 8 MC Multi-port Serial Expansion Board from Tekdata provides up to
  6. eight serial ports for connecting printers, modems, terminals and other serial
  7. devices to host systems with Micro Channel Architecture (MCA). Designed to take
  8. full advantage of the MCA's more efficient data path, the PLUS 8 MC delivers
  9. the speed and performance of 16450-style boards with embedded intelligence -
  10. plus it offers full duplex communications with full modem control. Fully
  11. shielded cables and remote panel simplify connection to the MCA host chassis
  12. and allow use in harsh and noisy environments without data loss. Data handling
  13. is enhanced by two 8051 microprocessors - one on the board and another on the
  14. I/O panel. Easy to upgrade in the field, a four-port version converts to eight
  15. ports in minutes. To add even more ports, simply insert multiple boards. Choice
  16. of interface: RS232 or RS422.
